LakeZ 2012

We're hoping to just pop our heads around the door on the Saturday afternoon to give the Zed a little run prior to it's Le Man Classic run out.

Needs new tyres so won't want to join in any driving (if there's an organised cruise out) but will hopefully pop in and just say hi (we're Settle so about an hour away - A65 all the way practically).

No camping or the like, and unlikely a late one as we need to unpack after our house move and then prep for Le Mans, but would be good to see a few people, and check out how the Zed feels before it's long run!

Nice one. I look forward to seeing you.

Also, a general reminder to all that Tim from Envy Valeting who supports a few of our events will be there all weekend with free advice and lots of great products.

There is now one spare room at the Heaves for the Friday and Saturday nights. Unfortunately real life sometimes intervenes in these situations so let me know if anyone wants it. First come first served.

I will be doing the supermarket run tomorrow so if anyone has space issues and needs anything picking up then pm me.

Just for the record, I have just taken this shot from my garden.

It has been mental here. The clouds were that black it felt like night time! Flash flooding everywhere and about eight or nine 'A' roads have been closed.

That's not really my garden like; but I bet a few do look like that just now.

I should be there to stay about 12 but will be shuffling cars around before that. I have gazebos, seats, tables and a set of wheels to transport so its a bit tricky.

Well all those Zeds, and the wife ends up with one photo:

Nice to quickly bump into a number of you - just didn't have enough time to stay etc with everything we have on!

Did need to take it for the run though - found out that with my lump in the car, along with the wife, it bottoms out and the arches rub the tyres. Got 3 days to get that sorted or else we have a lot of worry driving to France with tyres rubbing on arches!!

Well thats all the tents and Gazebos down and re-delivered. The tables and chairs are away for another year and all the cars are parked and empty.

I would just like to thanks all who attended, it was a great weekend and I thoroughly enjoyed it even with the streaming cold, cant think how I got that. :drunk:

I think the hotel did us proud again and kept up the level of service from last year.

The weather was very kind, i didnt pack any sun cream and am regretting that now, I have a very red face.

AS always at these meets there were some very funny and special moments and I am sure some of the pics will get on here.

I would also like to thank those who couldnt make the full weekend but popped over to say hello including a 260z driving down from Peebles this morning.

So guys, thanks again for your time, effort and cash. A great bunch of people made it a very memorable weekend.

Oh, and congrats to the winner of the car of the show, at last.

Second that Martin, great to see Andy again all the way from Peebles for 2 hours at the meet and to meet Greg from Preston with his lovely 260, nice to have another one in the area.

Enjoyed chatting with everyone and meeting some guys for the 1st time (Paul and Dale), and hope we can do it all again next year

PS There are some great pics on the 350Z forum that Wasso has taken.
