Very impressive Wyn. That extremely close to my previous best of 11.29 and I'd be getting worried if I hadn't moved the goalposts twice today with 2 personal bests.

The first run of the day was an 11.2566@124.56mph without nitrous. Followed by a couple of high 11 runs with nos. the I managed an 11.2068@132.45mph. The last 2 runs were with Terry as a passenger so didn't expect anything special. The second of these 2 had the car hook up like never before and would have been a very special run had I not missed second gear.

11.1 is now temptingly close and I feel is within my reach. Just need the get the launch right and not miss any gears.

A long day but well worth it car ran really well using just 15 litres all the way there at 70mph ;) not bad for a 3.2 supercharged 85 mile trip

Didn't know what to expect today and now realize its totally different machine, it took me two runs to work out that the rev limiter had been set at 7500 rpm :( suspect mr rolling road man done that for safety which meant I needed to shift into 5th 75' from the line, had a few issues with traction on the launch but sorted that later on also realized how short the gears are on the 6 speed box so now thinking a 5 speed box could be an option or a lower diff ratio, had a couple of runs with john at the end of the day now that was a good experience that engine has 0 lag between the gears and the gears are so tall in comparison with the 6 speed, and was great to see his different driving technique:D amazing how things have changed for me in my short time of drag car racing as in my l series powered Z 13.3 @ 104 mph in 3rd and now

in the M powered

should be a bit more when I add that 500 rpm on

I wonder if your diff had an impact on traction and your times. Remember only one wheel spinning when jacked up at the petrol station? A diff check may be in order.

Today seems to have seen the personal best times tumbling for all
Did any of you see Bob the Genie smash his PB in his 300ZX with a time of 10.92
well done all 4

Spoke to Bob several times today and he mentioned about trying to break into the 10's. congratulations Bob.

I was speaking to a guy with the white 300zx race car but was more interested in his gearbox lol.
Next time I'll try remember to ask their name as well :D
Didn't see any other cars run as was sat in my car all day in the queue

Good day today guys. I noticed that your best times all came with really good 60fts after the track prep in the afternoon :smash:

The track was prepped enough for us to take advantage of the extra grip. Weather conditions were also in our favour which led to some good times. This is the advantage of a racing weekend as opposed to a normal rwyb. May have to wait until next year for this sort of traction again.

Should be a good years racing next year.

Hey Johnny

Curious numbers there, 11.2 @ 124 mph (great time, man and machine clearly in harmony)
versus 11.2 @ 132 mph (great speed?, man and machine at odds)

132 mph should be giving you sub 11 seconds easily

It's frustrating Steve. Everyone's tell me I should be running in the 10's but just can't seam to get there. IMO it's all down to traction. In order to get a 1284kg lump to accelerate off the line quick enough to reach the other end in under 11 seconds requires that the tyres grip the track enough without slipping. The answer would be slicks but I feel a very well prepped track could give me enough grip to do it. My 60ft's have never been that good so an improvement there should see me in the 10's.
