And Sean, despite what I advised you, you are still personalising the Car ( e.g. Gunmetal Gray wheels ) too much for the mainstream taste.
And Jez, interesting stuff about the choice of colours; could I ask for the source of this, please ?
Duncan,
as most threads, this has attracted some 'chaff' and the reference to gunmetal grey wheels is to my second set of wheels for my track-day tyres for my yellow (personal 240Z). Shiny normal minilites for the sale car - as per your advice !!!
I already asked him for the source of colour info so we're all hanging on the edge of our seats.
Nigel - don't laugh, maybe red IS the colour to do it in - what do I care if it sells ? Grey looks so sad and a sports-car from the early '70s should express itself I feel !
Mr G - good point about the original colour but on the V5 it states black and I don't think black was a colour option back then so an obvious re-spray ? When I get the car (next weekend) I'll let you all know what the colour was when it left the factory !
For restoration costs, I told you all that I have one of the best Z restoration and painters (and inexpensive) on my doorstep and financially, if I sell at £13500, it's very viable - how much do you lot pay for your restos ?
Finally, Rahail240 - I love that colour, I imported one from the states like that that now lives just 40 miles away with a black bonnet, chrome light covers, watanabes and jdm wing mirrors - see Boomer here !
Now, is # 01344 sounds much earlier than February 1972 don't you think ?
