So Andy should be finished with my shell next weekend can’t wait to see it again as a complete shell ready for paint

So after not being able to source another glass mount bracket for the drivers do I’ve decided to turn the welder on and attempt to make one hopefully it will work as I don’t have much of a pattern to follow as it’s rusted away so I’m copying the passenger side but in reverse

This is how I’ve attempted it

Pretty happy with it needs a few adjustments but nearly there

Unfortunately this is only one side of the bracket the othe side isn’t that bad but needs some attention then the 2 sides need spot welding together and the glass slots in between

Bonnet all stripped back and fitted on the car along with the wings light pods and it’s new spoiler soon be ready for paint

So the shell has now all been epoxy primed underneath and stone chipped ,all the other panels have now been epoxy primed just need to go back on the shell an it will be coming home will be finished at Andy’s tomorrow what a great job he’s done for me in finishing the bodywork

Yes I’m really pleased haven’t seen it in the flesh for a few weeks and going on holiday Saturday to Italy so the wait is even more prolonged really can’t wait to se it thanks Ian
