I think The Original Green and Tan interior is an awesome colour scheme, I'd go as far to say my favourite, I understand you wanting a sharper green, but I'd stick OEM, maybe with a sharper/brighter metallic in it, the company I work for are Industrial paint manufacturers and we have 6 standard metallics, from Pearl right through to Glitter, the differences the same colour can look with 1-6 on it is immense .

Ive seen Asbojons car and yes it does look stunning i can't really say go original colour as i didn't, but wanted something i liked didn't care what others thought at the time as it was for me. Very happy with the mix me and the paint guy came up with the car was a metallic red
now much brighter metallic red but mine is only a 280zx not a 240z  :D go with what you like best John you will then be happy good luck

Sounds perfect ... Would like to see the two colours side-by-side nearly as much as Johnny himself!

Sean's car was bogey green or sum would call it snot green,it did look cool with the silver stripe,as for fashion ,I wouldn't go that far as Sean has as much fashion as Margaret Thatchers haircut, and she is dead

Nice work.
The MB colour looks very similar to the 302 metallic green then:

Nice work Mike on the color change.
John, can't go wrong with either I think. Factory has the retro look and the Merc has a little more modern feel to me.
Wheels will further enhance either color.

that's the same colour as mine.. To be honest with you John if you care about the future value of her I'd go original Datsun green, it's not as if you are changing the colour that drastically by going for the Merc green anyway.

I went over the workshop this afternoon to get the green car out and ended up stripping all the suspension and brakes off the black car. I was just going to replace a few bushes and steering gaiters but its escalated to ball joints, track rod ends, and ALL the bushes so I may as well get it all powder coated while its off. Looks like it will be another couple of weeks before I get on with the green one so I have a little longer to ponder the colour choice.
