You are joking, well done to him  , it looked well burnt, but it was maybe all that fire extingy powder that made it look far worse than it was...........

Hi Keith,

Many thanks to you and your son. There great pics, i have the one with yourself, madmarco and the 240 as my desktop :)

Hope your day was as great as mine

Hi Rich,
Your welcome. We had a great day lots good track action, and a few cringes at the pep's that couldn't keep their motors on the black stuff. Blow away by that copy of a 250GTO.
I might have had a better day than you thou, I went home with my rear tyres in tack :D  .

Hehe, fair point Keith, but a couple of weekends ago, i managed to kill 30 tyres at Santa pod doing drift demo's and passenger rides. Luckerly im very good friends with my local tyre suppliers :)

I really cant wait to get back on Castle Coombe track again, its a superb track.

Well.......I had some fun there - great day Suzy - thankyou so much and also thanks to Skidell for the extra pass, Steve Lack for being there, everyone who came up and said hello / introduced themselves and finally Dave Jarman for 'giving' me such a car - power steering really helps through those chicanes !

I imagine everyone saw the smaoke out of my car during the last session - it had me worried too ! All it was, was oil over-fill and I've got back home again with no problems running at 90mph all the way (almost).

I'm looking forward to any photos of us all out there, especially me (of course) and any video footage ?

Did anyone (unoficially) time some laps ?

LOL, where were you this year Alex, was hoping on taking a look round a proper powerful wide arch (candy) red Z ;) LOL

back in the garage (again) for some bigger injectors and a remap - got let down by a silly missing gasket which needed to be ordered - she'll be out and about this week though.

Regards,

alex

:D Hmmm, but he HEARD it - he wasn't there was he and neither where you AND i still didn't see a 260 2+2 on the clubs' stand ! Getting rare are they, made of salt or just not their place:devil: ?

Thankyou (you know who) for the (unofficial) time  .

The GTO is fabulous but just 4Db too loud - the owner is a nice chap and his best mate has just bought a 350Z !

dB is a logarithmic unit of measurement, and basically every 3dB more is about twice the power, that GTO is over two times as loud as it should be then ;)

I bet it sounds very nice! We should all fight the government and some of Castle Combes pain in the ass residents, motorsport is going to be very dull in another fifty years :(

Yes, thanks to the people who made this day such a success, especially Suzy.

Lee (my lad) and I had a great day and the weather was pretty good for most of the time thank goodness. It was nice to see a few different cars too, noteably Sean and his lovely 240, the 250GTO Replica and the prize winning black 240.

Steve Francis was his usual modest self, out there lap after lap thrashing lots of modern machinery. Leon was going well too, long time no see!

Chunk you are a hooligan!

Sean, for reference (from my in-car filming) we did a few laps at about 1.26 in the first (damp) session.

Ooh bum....:( but then, I reckon you were the fastest L6 powered car out there, maybe Steve Francis was quicker but it aint the same !

The GTO sounded......like a GTO  and those who know, know just how much MORE power the car has over a 'standard' real GTO !
