Spot on
I think you might have your work cut out should you decide to rustor Zeds aswell as ol Fords lol
Could be a good game to be in with those skills
You sir are a legend.... Amazing welding and fabrication skills.
And they say that Japanese cars are rust buckets
did always have a soft for them
excellent post and pics.wish i had that ammount of space to work in indoors and the roller to do undersides.ive almost stripped inner wing drivers side to bare metal.and very little rust.mainly underside of airtubes thats surface rust.fourways welded sections in many years ago and its good quality metal they used.
have to send it away to pros to get underside done i think.
yes i might be intrested in putting some work your way.the engine needs to come out anyway as core plugs are leaking probbly from sitting around for years before we got it running.it wouldnt be till end of summer prob though as got made redundant in march and finances are just strting to recover from battering they took
i take it the rest of the car is not in to bad shape? Might be worth having a look on ebay at rollover jigs i dont know off hand if there is one ready to go but im sure the one i have can be made to take a 260z. Added bonus with the one i have is its adjustable so you can bolt the car to the jig and crack it up straight of the axle stands and then keep cranking till you find the c of g then its easy to spin round to where you want it.
i got mine off ebay as it was in kit form for an escort but i modified to fit the Zed,the rear section was easy as i used the tie down brackets under the bumper to mount the rear cross section ,it was the front that was tricky as it needed arms making as to keep it all central and balanced and i extended the legs so it is higher off the ground.
Thanks for that moggy shouldnt need to much work then. This is the rollover jig i brought for the RS.

Nice work on the escort buddy, I admire people who have the skills required to do work like that.
