sorry boys but its gotta go, Datsun 260z fitted with 250 motor, nice usable condition with new mot and road tax, i have the original wheels to go with it and it still has the standard radio fitted, coil overs all round and janspeed exhaust, the car was a Australian import that was used up till 1989 then under went a full resto and the work was done well with all new panels etc and lead filler where needed.
the car then went back on the road till 1993 where it then stayed till about two months ago when i brought it, it looks and drive's great but the paint work is not the best i have seen, that said its by far not the worst!
as you guys know my heart relay isn't in this car and im longing for another rs, any questions feel free to pm me for my number.
looking for £6995.00 for a quick sale,

Buying a Classic Car is not normally something that people do impulsively they usually yearn for a particular car for many years - perhaps it was a car they admired from their teens but couldn't afford at the time.

Also people tend to keep them for a long time and build up a relationship with them.

That's what makes Classic Car ownership a special experience and one that is far more than just car ownership.

And no matter how hard you try to like something if it's not 'in your heart' it never will be.

Eddie you obviously feel that way about RSs and not Datsun Zs - so far better to move on. Good luck with the sale and thanks for brightening up the Forum for a few months:thumbs:. And also for your £15 ;)

Leave the guy alone Sean, it's a matter of personal taste, i happen to love every line and aspect of the Z , it have a great engine, it handles well and for the time of its age it have a very advancede designed suspension and the fact that the car was a worldwide winner and still win races, doesen't make it worse.

Othes Srean happens to like a 80's shoebox design, with leafsprings and a tapping 4banger.

Each to his own.

'Tis a shame because you entered the scene with great aplomb and a general 'up for the gig' attitude. You wanted to go to meets and then organise 'em, which was immediately superb. If your heart's not in it then whatever will be will be. The Escort is a fun car (I know an awful lot of RS fans, one sits behind me at work!), so that's all good as far as I'm concerned. Like Rob said, you brought some action to the site for a bit there which was great. Have fun dude and hopefully get to meet you on the Lakez 'do' if you're still up for it.

cheers dude, feel like i was pushed out of the whole lakes idea to be honest, every thing i wanted to do was covered by others witch was the reason to start looking around again at escorts, as you say its a shame as i have a lot to offer the club, there you go, never mind, had some good banter on here and have no intentions of not coming on for a chat etc,
cheeRS!

Sean if you go down that road you are going to lose 'big style' . The Escort has to be the most successful rally car ever!!! When I rallied in the 70s they were winning everything and still doing it now!

No way, Eddie! Martin and I live so close to the Hotel it's dead easy to do things at this end, but I was kinda hoping you would be able to rally the south and input any ideas from the RS meet that's such a success up here, so just cos your gonna be in the old "Fix Or Repair Daily" doesnt mean we dont need all the help we can get!!.

Oh and you could always still vet Moonraker Tom's troupe of dancing girls if your up to it.....:D
