Mikes prices are cheaper than most by the way.

Don't get it! If 250mls treats 40 litres how can 500mls treat 500 liitres?

Well it would have to be - but looking at the picture it says nothing on the bottle to that effect. Also looked it up on Millers' own website and it says nothing about it being a more concentrated version.
So - one 250ml bottle giving protection to one tankful of petrol priced at £7.99 OR one 500ml bottle giving protection to TEN tankfuls of petrol for £28.
No contest. So what the hell is going on here?

Well one is called an 'All-In-One' shot and the other a 'Multi' shot. I agree its not clear though as both bottles look the same.

Interested to understand the Carb 'anti-icing' formula. My carbs have been 'icing up' but I simply assumed this was due to normal way carbs work in certain atmospheric conditions.

Is it the ethenol and absorbed water which 'ices up' the fuel as it passes through the very cold carbs that are naturally icing up from the damp or humid air?

My kawasaki bike use tio ice up at lot, use to have to stop for acouple of mins to cure and then would be ok again.
Thats the trouble with living up north.:D

It's concentrated. I don't see what the confusion is all about. The one shot stuff is designed for convenience. the multi shot is for people who want to buy it in bulk and save money. It clearly states on both bottles how much it treats. No mystery.

Well after reading all of this I nipped down to Halfrauds, emptied their shelves and returned to add it to the car. Just thought I would check the hoses whilst I was fiddling around, and glad I did! Most were changed whilst sorting the fuel pump and regulator last year, but two short lengths between the carbs were left from 2001. I DONT KNOW HOW THEY WERE STILL CARRYING FUEL ! Loads of splits and cracks! Lucky I checked , wipped them off and changed them pronto! No idea if it was the fuel or just age but either way I would not of checked them if it wasn't for this thread - so once again a big thanks to all of you lot that are more aware of this sort of thing! The consequences I just don't want to think about! :thumbs: Now where else should I be checking?

Sorry Johnny - but nowhere on the bottle does it say it is concentrated. And what idiot would possibly pay £7.99 for one bottle to cover one tank of petrol when they can pay £27 for the multi-shot bottle that covers TEN tanks working out at £2.70 a tank

I wouldn't suggest, as you have Riddler, that every one who bought it at £3 is an idiot. Just that doing a little research can often get you a better deal.

Most places sell the "convenient" one tank bottles and the "multi shot" for those who want to buy in bulk and save money. £7.99 is an inflated price as you can get it a lot cheaper if you look around.

You can actually get the multishot for nearer £20 if you buy on ebay.

Just another difference between the 2 is that the one shot only treats 40l whereas the other treats 50l per dose so its equivalent of 12.5 single shots which works out at around £1.52 per go.

Well I only discovered the multi-shot bottle by chance. I got involved in a thread about ethanol-protection, found the single bottle priced at £3 down from £7.99 and posted about it to be helpful to other members. It might have been useful if members who KNEW about the multi-shot option had let other members know at the time!

Has anyone the capability to do any chemical analysis on this, as the multishot bottle although it states 500L has no other info on it to suggest a different formula/concentration etc.:unsure:
Also measuring out 10ml is going to be quite difficult.

50ml you mean? You could use one those 100ml 'flight bag' liquid containers and keep it in the glovebox.

I didn't know anything about this product until reading this thread so checked online to see the best price the posted my findings to assist others.

I believe the container is the typical type used for multi shot that allows you to esily and accurately dispense 50ml with the use of duel chambers.

Why not write to Millers and tell them their bottle labelling must be updated to include the word "concentrated".

Sorry but I just can't work out why yor so insistent that the labelling is wrong.
