Drag Z 8.668 1/4 mile !

Awesome. I’m guessing that is a prime example of the whole mega-modified Japanese drag L-series, I.e. BIG bore and stroke, heat treated cement filled block, welded N42, etc., etc. Incredible level of detail goes into those builds. Certain Japanese L-series engine build books cover it extensively.

All targeted at a 400m straight run though. Not really applicable for us public road mortals.:)

I saw the car at Fuji Speedway in May last year. Incredible attention to detail

I really like the way it has no arches and is pretty standard looking on the outside ,

Surprised to see he is still running an alternator and water pump , most drag cars don't , I thought the belt would fly off

Well I don't know the car and I haven't seen the video, but yes, I know 10k is not uncommon. It's probably got a 25% reduction on the pulley.
I wouldn't think the alternator and water pump take more than a few HP although Skiddell did run an electric water pump.
Maybe the difference between 8.3 and 8.2 seconds.
