Drag Challenge 1st round

Absolutely. Without a doubt the best and closest side by side action I have ever experienced between the three of us. Little to choose in Elapsed times 14.6 to 14.9 covered all 3 cars and 92 to 95 mph spread on terminals. You will see all the detail once the results are officially posted.
Next round is the Sunday after Japfest. May 18th.:D

I need more power... the youngsters are beating me!!!

So 2+2 Targas are faster than 2 seaters then!? :D

What a great day out sorry if i did not get to talk to all that turned up as looking at Darrens cars wiring loom seemed to take up my afternoon.

I must also say that Darren must be packed on the back first for having the UK first road legal RB26 and only MOTing his car on friday and Drag Racing on Sunday.

I think you may be getting a phonecall mr dixon, i need to borrow you for a few hours before the first round to try and sort out some sections of the mapping if that's possible?

As everyone else has said, what a fantastic day. To think that I nearly didn't come. I can remember missing a few meets a year or so ago because the weather looked bad, and then kicking myself when I found out it was OK at the pod. Never again, even if there's no racing, what can be better than sitting in the cafe, talking about Z's.

Well yes:unsure:........ and NO;)
Dave Chungs 2 seater was fastest:bow:
But all credit goes to Nick/Bantambunny for his effort.
He did pip me yesterday by one tenth of a sec.
my new car is still not fully modded yet so Im hopefull of turning the tables next time out.;)

But TBH none of the three of us in class 4 were overly bothered about the final result. We had a brilliant days racing/fun and we have gathered some invaluable data on running/tuning Z32 NAs which is just not available in books etc
We still lag some way behind our friends in the USA in NA tuning but jointly collecting and sharing data etc will help us close that gap

Exactly, i found out more about my car yesterday than i have in 9 months of ownership. Had a cracking day and zed to zed was brill.

Dave chungs is a beast and a half :D

as everyone has said a great day had by all. well done to everyone who made the effort & were justly rewarded & proved to my wife who thought i'd lost the plot leaving to go drag racing in 3 inches of snow that i wouldn' be the only tw*t there.special well done to john mason new member of our growing 13 second club. hope to see you all in may

Had a great day also, and good times had by all.

Iam at that point where Iam indecisive whether to keep my car as an every day A2B car or to throw some time and money into it and make it moor track efficient. With the times us guys are running at the moment with only mainly external mods and some very light tuning, Iam sure it may be poss to drop into the 13s this year with some better preparation. Iam having terrible clutch problems at the moment with gears locking up and jamming, anyone will tell you that one crunch/miss gear will cost you time. If we had more N/A drivers in the challenge then people may take the challenge more serious and maybe we will be forced to step it up a gear.;)

The cars running very well at the moment with plenty of torque. I would choose the N/A over any TT, I’ve imported and driven some of the best TTs in the country but would never own another:D

Amen to that brother! Huge amounts of torque, solid power band and that noise! Why would you ever want to go back to a TT, i certainly won't now :D

I've renewed my love for my na now and i'll be dumping my some serious wonger into the new engine so watch out next year, 2009 is going to be a good season... as is this one!

It's very close between us all but i still need to get my mapping set up to get the full power out of my engine... and the twin intake setting up :D hehe
