No problem buddy, i wasn't sure how much longer i was going to be in zed ownership when it ran out so i didn't renew but i guess i can have one last year while i'm sorting the car out to sell.

Looking like a new engine at this moment in time :D
 
Seats are out, back on 95 ron petrol and the misfire has disapeared so looks like i'm ready for some competition tomorrow, splash of 99 ronin when i get down there and we're off :D

Well i just took the zed out for a quick run to check its running properly and the missfire is back again. Stalling under acceleration, looks like i'll have to expect bad results tomorrow unless it sorts itself out :(

IMO its about time this was either scrapped or brought up to 21st century date. There are hardly any active groups left in the Z club and
quite a number of runners in the drag challenge have no idea what its about.
Why dont we have something a bit more light hearted or even down right silly for a laugh??? :confused::confused:

well unfortunately I'm not going to be able to make it tomorrow, spent all day trying to get the car ready in time. What started as a simple plugs and fuel filter change turned into a bit of a nightmare. Found the coil pack connectors had got hard and brittle, so replaced them (I already had them just in case), then found one or two of the coilpacks themselves had a hairline crack, so did the recommended fix from toymods.net. But still haven't got them ready in time, and everything back together in time.

Will have to get it sorted for the next one, am really gutted as there are some cars I really wanted to see, plus I think I had a trophy!

I'll sort out the rest of my 'freshen up' mods for the next one. Hope it stays dry and you all get the times you're after!

As a tip for next time, use a sharp knike to gouge the crack and then a few layers of nail varnish will work most times as a temporary repair. ;)
 
Anyone get any runs today?

I been all over the north, and seen blizzards, rain, and glorious sunshine at various stages of my journey.
 
Very good day at the Pod.

Must be mad though because I'm sure I have frostbite.

Exceptionally good day, many people had as many as 12 runs, would have been more if a biker hadn't decided to get off his bike at 130 mph

Some excellent times were produced including...wait for it a 13.33 run by John Mason making it the second fastest Road legal L6 of all time and means I now have to get my finger out:unsure:
Frank Marino ran a 13.66 in his "reserve" Z32
Darren Styles brought his RB26 engined 240 out to play and made a good start with some low 14 passes
Even the Pod Meister had a go in his RB engined creepy coupe

If you didnt come you missed a load of fun.
 
Was a good day for me
Managed to get the snow off the car n then out on the rd :thumbs:
Nice to say hi to a few friendly faces and have a crack on the strip
Only a few pics but its better then nowt.
Mind you I can hardly blame me 13 yr old lad as it wasn't the warmest of places to be lol :D
