Considering getting this, thoughts?

Ultimately I am just after a working 240z, preferably LHD that runs and is mechanically sound, not too bothered if the paint is not that great.
Considering what's out there this just seemed like good value.

Have a look at the blue 240z @SacCyclone is prepping for sale: https://zclub.net/community/index.php?threads/1971-240z-blue-blue-cali-baked.30685/ Needs work but it'll be mechanically sound once Mike is done with it, so fits the requirements you mentioned above.

Yep, but Mike can arrange the shipping for you. Myself and several others on this site have bought their Z's from him and we're all happy with them.
Thanks for the heads up, I'll drop him a message.

Need something by early May!

Just spotted this for sale , will need some rust repairs and swapping to manual. I have not seen the car and do not know the seller

He did, and has very kindly sent me some emails with all the details. I'm just seeing what's out there before I commit. I don't want to insult anyone on here with a lowball offer.

Thanks for the mention and as above = yes ive sent over some details to Chez.

Both my cars are likely to be for sale in the near future - i will hopefuly finalise this week .

Says Leek in Staffs on the ad, but whether you can trust that or not is another matter.
Yes, you can trust that. It was also in my garage for a couple of weeks a few years back. ;)

The owner, Neil has been a member on here. As spotted, he has another (dark blue) 240Z bought from Chrisvega and did also have a U.K. 240Z that was owned by long-term club member Dave Holland (in need of extensive resto now).

The pictured car needs significant work (reflected in the price), to a degree that my recommendation would be that any buyer needs to have very deep pockets, or be able to do all the metalwork themselves. The rust issues are nothing unusual for a non-CA US car (it was from Georgia I think), but the front end of the shell has some particular “challenges”.

The shell has had a front ender and an extremely “American” repair. Nowadays, after everything I’ve subsequently learnt/taught myself, I’d be able to deal, but it’s major surgery to rectify what was done. A big order needed from KFVintageJDM of all their front end repair panels…

I am definately going to be selling both of my zeds - blue and the white .
Ill update the for sale threads on here and probaly list online this weekend.

I was looking at the white one at the weekend as it needs a bit of reassembly - and its always nice to compare it to cars like the red one ....... when i look at mine as a 'project'

Thank you all for your contributions. I never heard back from the guy who was selling the white one, he said someone from Ireland was flying out to see it and had made an offer. I can only assume it was asking as I also offered asking but was second in line.

I have however made a purchase and hopefully it arrives in time for my trip back up to Scotland mid May to do the NC500 (ish) for the second time!
