I may have misunderstood, but Florida is east coast of the US.STS maybe, or Kingsdown. Ron at STS I have used many times and he has a container that goes from the West Coast from memory (used to be Florida)

Hi Rob, sorry I don't know when it was last registered.....no road plates etc.Jason get Mike to assemble the bike and then you can ride it over to the east coast.
Mike do you know when it was registered in '52. It's the same age as me.

STS's base in the US for shipping used to be Florida on the East Coast, for the containers ... but they then moved it to the West Coast.
Is it possible to get a title in the US? I think that might be better than it getting it here and then trying to register it with no title.
my 'ploy' would be to get the owners club to date it, provide a certificate of age then use that to register........
Sounds OK from a dating perspective for registration, but how would you get a NOVA import clearance document on parts? I must admit I have no experience with importing bikes but assume they are treated in similar way to cars?
Certain states do not have 'titles' on old cars/bikes and a notarised bill of sale is accepted in lieu, but California is not one of those states so US customs will want to see a title to ascertain the bike is not stolen prior to export.
All tucked in waiting for the trans-Atlantic voyage. Smiths gauge boxed as well.
