Any Datsun roadster owners?

I've a not so secret hankering for a Roadster, I saw one out with my better half and she loved it. How many are there on the forum? Where is the font of all knowledge for them?

I've got my head around the models/changes, still can't decide what spec would be ideal.

I had a 67 roadster up to a couple of years ago. It was a rare rhd SP311 low windscreen. I'm just over 6 ft and the driving position was not great. Not built for tall drivers. The top rail was right in my line of sight and my knees were wrapped round the steering wheel. Oh and the brakes were pretty poor. I loved it but not the easiest, most comfortable to drive.

I don't think anyone on the forum has one but as usual I will stand corrected on that, I think if you want one and see one for sale it needs buying. You don't have a choice in model/spec. They are few and far between. I think I may have one book in the club shop relating to them.

I would consider bringing one over from the states or Japan if it was the right spec. I think i'd like the 1967 SRL311 .

If you are serious about roadsters, look up Rob Beddington. He has a few and runs or used to run the fairlady website and register and would be my first point of contact here in UK. I can PM you his number?
