Possibly that his is fine without a box. Don't forget Allan gets the beast out on very mild days for a few hours a year so there's not as much of a necessity to keep badgers, kittens, swans etc from being sucked into the engine. The rest of the year it's safely tucked away. (It also has one of the sweetest / finest engine notes I have ever heard in my life).
