I've seen the Autocar road test and it looks bad in Yellow. TBH I prefer the original cars, pre-facelift 06 and pre 2007 too. Like the E Type Jag most cars are purer and sleeker as originally designed, they then get changed to sell as a new version (ok some improvements are built in).

If the interior is better quality then that's a good move (but I like the original design).

Removing the rear strut brace is a major change and not mentioned much (or have I missed it). That may help with sales.

I haven't seen one in the flesh yet though.

For the librarians amongst us........As well as the 3/12/08 Autocar article (6 pages) there is a feature in Jan 09 CAR magazine (8 pages) if anyone is interested

Personally I like the yellow car in the Autocar feature (no surprise there then)

Mr Ex, yes that shows the rear strut brace removed. Is that what you mean't, or were you thinking the silver bar was the strut brace.

There is not bracing now directly between the turrets.

This should enable larger objects/parcels to be carried.

The silver bar in the photo is a roller-blind affair that attaches to the tailgate lid to hide you valuables - nothing structural.

Yes I was thinking the silver bar was structual & done that way so as not to take up valuble luggage space.
