Hi all,
I've been looking at different wheel fitments over the past few months, and I'm completely stuck as to what to do.
I was going to go with the Rota Grid 15x8 ET0, but I was told by the guy at Driftworks that 1 - the centre bore is only 67mm (my '77 280z is 73mm,) and 2 - the grease caps will be too long for the Rotas centre caps (although I've seen people mash them down to fit?) He suggested that I'd have to use 10-15mm spacers to make them fit.
Is anyone running this set-up, and if so, how did you make them fit? I've learned that our Zs' have lug-centric hubs, so it might be possible to have the centre bore machined 3mm on the radius, and ~5mm on the depth.
I also noticed that Rota does a 16x8 ET10 Grid-V rim with a 73mm bore. Is anyone using them with a ~10mm spacer to achieve roughly the same fitment?
Any help would be amazing - I'm fairly new to this, and I'm at a bit of a loss!
P.S. It's my first post on the forum! I've been meaning to say hi, but not gotten around to it until now!
