GREEN, obviously!!

Is that the same 113 green as Asbojon's car?

I think my car was that colour originally. This is about the only unadulterated bit available:

You were up late - that finished at 3am! I recognise the pic!

I would've been bidding if it wasn't for terminally **** news impending at work that might kill my mood for spending money anytime soon.

What's up at work dood?

When I posted that it was three minutes before the announcement. The business I work in has been bought by a group run by the management that set our biz up in the first place many years ago. Bottom line - they suck and will probably screw us into the ground. It's pretty much sucked the life out of me today. I wasn't hundred percent sure it was going to happen that way though - our present owners could've closed us although that was unlikely. Still, it put me off bidding on that car given I wasn't totally sure I would be in a position to spare the money. Pity it didn't end tonight - I might've been slightly more in the mood to bid as a means of making myself feel better!

My job is secure, but whether that is a good thing remains to be seen. Might be a job/career direction change coming up for me. Anyone need an apprentice to help build Zs???

Looks very much like it. When I saw the photo of the spare wheel carriers I though Johny had visited my garage

There's always others Richie but prices are on the rise.

£5115.30

John - I'm over your way for a party next Saturday so you may need to hide the car :)

That makes for a cheap car! What sort of figure are you paying to get it to the docks in the states? It seems from the Ad that the seller is helpful.

Depends where it is Franky. The one from washington was $650. sacramento was $350. Shipping is $1140.

I've done all the work for the seller and made all the arrangements so he doesn't have to do a thing. Hopefully that will encourage him to think of me when others come up. Looks like he has several 240's and is quite into them.

There is a big risk involved in this and at some point I will pay for a car that never arrives so you need to consider this when making a purchase. You are buying a car that you have never seen and from someone you have never met. You will also have to pay for the car and all costs involved in getting it here up front. You then have to wait for the funds to clear and rely on the seller making the effort to actually get the car to you and in the condition he has sold it as. They will never be as good as they look in the pictures so make allowance for this in how much you want to pay. If the seller just stops returning your phone calls and emails then your pretty much stuck. Your bank wont help you either as they make it very clear that international money transfers are very risky. My bank has been blocking and ringing me every time I make one of these transactions and reminds me of the risks.

I think you can get a good deal if you go this route but don't do it with money you need or don't want to lose as it could all go wrong.

You need the pic of the other side with the banged up door for balance!

It was good that the seller posted several YT videos of the thing being driven. The guy advertises well.

Doors can be replaced! :D

(Side issue - the amount of parts knocking around on Craigslist in CA boggles the mind. I've seen many rust free door shells and wings in recent months for dirt cheap. The Californians are spoilt!)
