Planning on going to zed fest this Saturday. Cannot bring the z in case I get stranded but if anyone has a spare wheel that i can buy that will fit on my car and in the rh side of my boot behind the cover that would be great. I'm still in need of a wheel brace and jack and also an original air filter box & pipework etc. thanks.

These could be the last ever pics from ZEDFEST :eek: Please comment on what you do or don't want from this show or even why you don't go ,to far, no drag strip or track dose anybody want it next year if you don't comment but just read as most do. think it won't happen again which would be a shame after all the organising that Arkright had done:bow:

Leave feedback to save this show :thumbs:

Glad you all liked the cars :rolleyes:shame nobody commented though a few more car at show

I think the pics are great. Not had time to write a report yet but will do ASAP. Thanks for your words of support, I'm pleased someone else enjoyed it.

We thoroughly enjoyed it too and I'm positive the event will happen next year too, even if I have to run it, lol. Nottingham is right in the middle of the country, there is plenty of space at the camp site and those of us who were there all weekend had an awesome time. Can't wait for next year.

It was brilliant.

FRIDAY
I knew it wasnt going to be packed, but we got there to find only Bird & Neen camping on Friday night and Arkwright with everything set up in the club house enjoying a beer with Rita, his dog.
We pegged our dog Syntax to the ground on a 3m lead and me/Alex/or 7 yr old Michael put up our tent, Mikey put up his and all commenced a damn good drink which finaled at 3am with car music and all silly undercar lights going.

SATURDAY,
more turned up in the day time. A van turned up with lots of 240/60 bits for sale. About 6 350's, a few 240/260's and Ceejay decided to do a random check later on. He just drove around the field and buggered off while we were settling in for a BBQ and didnt stop to say hi. I counted 14 different comers and goers through the day in all. Maverick turned up very early hours Saturday morning to set up camp, and later, the 260 pitched a tent (apologies for no username lol).
The BBQ is basically half an oil drum on a frame with a grill to go on top. The camping ground has a MASSIVE stock pile of wood/logs, so you are tempted to find the biggest log to chuck on... beware the arsonists haha.

SUNDAY
A proud show of 350's rolling in, and one lovely grey Z31. Finally saw a Z31 in the fresh! Unfortunately, the 240's/60's that turned up Saturday and said were coming back, didnt. Candyred and the green 260 were the only representation of the breed. In all, Sunday filled half the field, the sandwich truck hadnt broke down like it did on Saturday morning and showed up. Ceejay and Shell turned up and put their nuts and bolt stand up .... which consequently cost us a fortune. 240/60 bits for sale again, although I would love to have seen the purple Z31 grrr. The field was 1/2 full, and that's a LOT of cars, but we can do much better.

Candy Red - best in show, best of class - Hands down. I just want to fall into that paint work, it puts you in a heavenly daze just looking at it.

ShellZX - the white 300ZX with the Brutus Boot install won best z32. I have to say by one vote that came in late against Maverick.

Only 1 Z31, and only one 260

That Vielside - Orange and black 350 is SO well executed. ... and won best of the 350's as well as 2nd place in best of show.

More vote cards came in than there were eligible voting drivers tho ... tut tut lol

Link to photobucket not working :( I'm assuming 7 year old michael is our 7 year old Michael and that there weren't two of them there lol.

Apologies we missed this one this year. Planned on coming along for the Sat eve, but got waylaid meaning we'd not get there till too late to actually enjoy it. Plus, in honesty, with the 240z parked up with no working clutch, would have been sad to turn up not in the car :-(

Definitely should continue to hold it though as have thoroughly enjoyed the times we have made it!
