Ok have spent hours last night going through my Z books/mags to try and find out why did the Z432R have a black bonnet and why was it a satin/matt colour ?

Rob Gaskin said:Lots of cars had matt black bonnets in the 70's especially rally cars. At the time it was said to reduce reflections at night but I think it was just a trend.
Rob Gaskin said:I painted my rally Imp bonnet matt black ( was 19 at the time).
