Why hasn't someone slapped him

For the life of me I do not know how dear old Mr motor mouth Hamilton gets away with some of the things he says about some of his fellow drivers/his team and everything in general

you only have to watch his race errors to realise he has nothing at all going on between ears. and of course you are not allowed to say that cos that would be racist 'cos i is black innit' or half blackish anyway. quick? yes. just a shame his age exceeds his I.Q.

One of the reasons i dont watch formula 1 much now is because of that muppet and the amount of tv coverage he and the family gets( its a wonder the family dog hasnt been on!!!) Where as J button and Paul de resta just get on with it, and all the commentators seem to want to lick his a**e sad im my opinion, and another thing we always have to be in the mclaren garage,i wish he would leave F1 he would make a good touring car driver after the amount of times he has hit virtually everone in the pit lane, there rant over with lol !!!

I thought I was alone in this opinion, thank heavens I'm not.

Ocassionally you hear other drivers comment on been overtaken by Hamilton, and reading between the lines you know there is friction/**** headeness.
Also, if you watch when he is on the podium, the other drivers don't talk much too him, where as Button has a laugh n joke and there is a mutual admiration.
McLaren have thrown too much money at Hamilton over the years, so he is probably here for a few years more.
I watched the Motor GP at Nurberg this weekend on TV, those lads were racing in a down pour  the race was finally stopped. This sort of racing shows the respect amongst the drivers - 150mph round a bend a foot away from another rider :bow:

Greatest racer - John Surtees; World Champion on 2 wheels in the 50's and F1 in the mid 60's, and a genuine nice guy to talk too.

When he came into F1 I was impressed by his maturity and pace for a 'rookie'.

However he seems to have reverted to the Karting style of driving and also thinks his car is as small as a Kart.

As Brundle says perhaps he can't see enough of it .

Anyway Button has certainly shown him the way this year.

When he first came to F1 I (like many others) was a great admirer, I enjoyed the freshness and "ballsy" driving style he displayed

Now he appears to be unapproachable and elitist, almost throwing his toys out of the pram at any inferance that his evolved driving style might be a little OTT....is it the F1 circus taking its toll on his personaility or is it his latest circle of (somewhat predictable) fairweather friends that are creating a monster.

Or... maybe he has always been like that but was playing it innocent when he was teamed with Alonso. :)

It's weird, but I have a lot more respect for Alonso now and a lot less for Hamilton - they seem to have swapped attitudes with eachother.

I still can't forget what Alonso "allegedly" did on the "Ferrari gate" affair...... receiving confidential information, trying to bully the team principle into getting the number 1 slot (plus a few others) with email evidence and later testifing in return for a get out of jail free card......lets not even go into the pit lane tactics of the 2007 Hungarian Grand Prix.

Motor racing drivers place their trust in each other when travelling at insane speeds less than a few feet apart, how can you trust that type of person with your life, how people can look up to him as a role model is beyond me.

Mr Barrichello has always impressed me.... Hamilton could do with a large dose of humble pie served with a sprinkling of humilty when even contemplating about commenting on other drivers.

When your standing on the shoulders of giants lewis, first take off your shoes.

Nipper has the arrogance of Scumie but without the victories - has no-one explained that to win, one must cross the line ?
Or perhaps he's become a second Montoya who spiced up the scene without really winning anything ?

All I know is that of the two races I watched, he acted like a pratand then commentated on everyone elses' behaviour. Wasn't there a time when he was sanctionned all the time - why isn't it happening now ?

Bitch, bitch, bitch.......he's flying the flag isn't he ? He should put up a better image than some hooligan, over-paid footballer ! Racing driving is not the gentlemans' sport it was.

I'm not fussed on him one way or another but he spices up what was a dreadfully boring competition not to long ago.

Can't remember Senna being a gentleman Sean, but we were glued to the screen when he was on the track were we not??

Brat behaviour doesn't spice up a boring race series.........remember MacIntyre at tennis ?

Great, free-running and motivated racing without poofy blue flags and electric generators.........and fudge it, no carbon brakes either  !

It does spice up a boring race series.
MacIntyre?? was great to watch. Nasty Nastasie as well, even connors....
Great at what they did with the added bonus of them doing something bonkers and making it a whole lot more fun to watch.
Tell me Senna did not spice up your viewing...Oh sorry you will have been on cry baby prosts team!!

Now now gents you are all acting like the monkeys at the back of the field
Ops could not resist using this classic respectful quote from Hamilton from one of his first interviews after coming into F1
Ever since that quote i have always thought the Guy was a little spoilt brat who from the very first had no respect for any of the other Drivers and his latest dig at barrichello is just yet another snide remark

His outbursts make me proud to be British, NOT

Alright you crud - I've never been a fan of Prost and less so when it became clear that he 'engineered' his F1 crowns as did Schumie at the end !

We disagree but agree nevertheless -the racing is boring so we want some spice.....but if the racing was better, the spice would add so much more wouldn't it ?

The rules are such that only lawyers win each time - for me, it's boring, show-time and 'characters' like Hammy do nothing to endear the sport to me anymore - I prefer to watch Button anyday !

Answer quick Sean.... I feel the force of the club bearing down on me now for dissing you!
not at all
Was just my way of trying to highlight use a quote from the immature arrogant sod who I have no respect for as a human being since I first heard that quote whilst everbody at the time thought he was the best thing since sliced bread

Dont get me wrong he has livened up the whole F1 scene but why oh why is he so obnoxious
