Took the Zed for an MOT yesterday, and it passed
with only minor advisory (oil leak). The car turned 40 officially from April this year, so have been meaning to apply for tax free status. While it was being MOTed I took a walk down to the main Post Office just to see if they would be able to send off the documents to DVLA as per the
GOV.uk website...
Needless to say they didn't have a clue. I will try the Wokingham branch if I get time tomorrow. Hoping they will know what they are supposed to do.
The car may not have needed this MOT at all since it had a valid one at the point it turned 40, but for peace of mind (and to preempt the Post Office counter staff having an easy get out) I thought it worth while. I will continue to get it checked once every year or so anyway.
Have only done 280 miles in the last year - hashtag 'poor_effort'.
