Ordered some bits from MSA on the Tuesday 19th, only sitting on the doorstep today.

I think if you get a shipper who delivers and then bills you for the duty, then delivery can be quick, but if it's UPS it goes to the Royal Mail international centre and then you can lose 7 or more days.

But 2 days is mighty impressive, which shipping option did you choose?

That is really good. Just shows it can be done. My last delivery took 2 days to get to London then sat there for another 4 1/2 weeks before they delivered it.

I used FedEx priority international the total price was $80 so by rights it should have attracted duty and Vat, but it came straight through.

UPS normally charge you 'at the door' upon delivery (or they have me in the past, anyway) ...

So did you get that manifold Matt?

It's on it's way, STS (Ron Fenton) run parts containers every month, it is on one that left on the 30 March.
As soon as it arrives I can crack on with fabricating my 2.5" stainless exhaust, ready for Le Mans

Fwiw, fedex priority international always seem quick and reasonable on the tax & duty for me, whereas wherever it end up with parcelforce it takes weeks and costs an arm and a leg.

That is correct,.normally comes about 2-3 weeks later.but at least your not waiting for parts.

Hopefully it has my replacement seat on it. Although they seem to have lost my Porsche carpet trim holder!

Think yourself lucky, speaking to my mate yesterday he mentioned his friend has lost his Porsche Turbo S to a con man ! The fuzz have found the car which is now in another persons hands & have told him he will never get the car back or any kind of payment for it as the new custodian has papers for it that would be rather upsetting would'nt it.
