Top Gear

That programme really annoys me, they are a bunch of children. How they get away with the things they do I'll never know.

Richard Hammond has already had one near miss and he still puts his life in danger. Would any of you travel in the top of that 'electric death trap' ? I live near MIRA and am surprised they allowed them access to their facilities.

Clarkson passes a power cable over the road above passing cars etc etc.

Being a motoring enthusiast I'm still tempted to watch it each week and then wonder why I bothered. Fortunately I record it and then watch it back at a fast speed to see if there is anything interesting or sensible - usually about 2 mins of the show.

At one time I was concerned that they gave us sensible enthusiasts a bad name but now I don't think that's the case. I'm sure Joe Public realises what idiots they are and far removed from normal enthusiasts. Hope so!

Last night's show was one of the worst! You can see why they've been moved to 9pm...So they can fill the show with lots of "penis" gags!
Last week at least they were driving some decent cars whilst arseing around.

As a tube-full (yes, genuine dictionary term for several) of penis', at least the pr*cks will know what they're talking about 'cos apart from their research team, they know very little.

I will always remember meeting Clarkson at the NEC show in late '92 and mentioning the event we'd held at Goodwood (the first Japanese (classic sports) car show ever in the UK) as he passed our stand with an immaculate red 240Z and Z32 and he replied "must have been the worlds' worst attended event ever".

Bigot - hypocrit and then they 'discover' all sorts of fabulous Jap cars as if we were still all running around in Morris Marinas..........

This is a sad day as I've always loved Top gear and over the past few seasons I've cringed more and more and even my posts to the defence of them has now come to an end. They are totally and utterly taking us for fools now. The show (I know you'll all jump in) has turned to them 3 pissing about and wasting money on more and more ludicris wastes of time. I started to watch last nights episode and I haver turned it off half way through, canceled my timmer record for the rest of the season and felt dirty. I have and always will be a TVR fan and at the point that they willingly broke up the TVR then proceed to smash the chasis into a wall was the end for me. Sad sad day indeed when the last thing that I could justify for the dross that is the BBC has now turned to crud aswell. ;(

I hadn't laughed so much in years as I did watching last nights episode. As for destroying the TVR its no worse than watching monster garage totalling a Lotus Elan or scrap heap challenge chopping up yet another ancient Landrover.

But I must admit that I fail to see how they managed to get that thing on the road. It probably shows up a glaring loophole in the what is and what is not permissible on the road and has a serious dig at the Kit Car industry.

Anyway I thing it all depends on how you like your Gravy....

Fantastic worth the bloody licence fee.

I fully agree with you & I tape it so that I can zoom through it, it should be put back to half hour prog or scrapped.
I've said for a few years now that 5th gear is better even though VBH is in PLUS Tiff likes Zs.:driving:

YOU MISERABLE BUGGERS. BEST TV SHOW EVER! I LAUGHED NON STOP AND CAN@T WAIT FOR NEXT WEEK.
IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, DON'T WATCH (Simples!).

It sounds like you only watch it for the laughs, I'd rather watch a "proper comedy" if I want to laugh!
When you grow up you'll learn what's funny & whats not, AND TG is neither funny or informative, It's just total S - - T.
ROLL ON 5th gear.

Some people are obviously very easily amused and entertained!?....I think that the programme is now being produced soley to be sold on to DAVE and their target audience! :p

I watch Top Gear for the ever decreasing car content....Because I'm interested in cars!
It's just a shame that it has become more of a general comedy light entertainment show rather than a factual motoring programme with some entertainment.
The first episode was ok because they were driving some GT/supercars around Europe, but this week's show was pretty dire. Some of the latest scripted comedy scenarios are getting a bit predictable!(How many times have they done the smokey cabin routine?)
This week's Autocar magazine has a feature on the Top Gear battery powered car if anyone's really interested??

:driving:Top gear is on again at 8pm for any one that missed it! Or you miserable lot could watch it again to find some other things to whinge about
