Agreed. I've always been really proud of my cars, but in my youth the one that thrilled me the most was definitely my first Capri.

I would love to say that it all had a very happy ending....Janice and I got married, she learned to weld and I learned to spray-paint. Together we lovingly restored 435K over the years to pristine condition, and now just take her out on sunny Sundays. We had two kids, a girl and a boy, and named them Cedric and Silvia. Our everyday driver is of course a 260ZG 2+2, an original Samuri (according to that Spike Irons bloke). We live in a charming 17th century cottage with a white picket fence in a leafy village and we are blissfully happy, thank you for asking.

In reality, she married a Scouser called Billy who worked shifts in a tobacco factory near Liverpool, and now lives in Middlewich. Sadly, 435K is just a memory....:(

She was a lovely girl to be fair, and I saw her a few years ago. She has turned into a very elegant (and buxom) lady I am happy to report.:)

Now that would be interesting - girls and wives up to the present day. ;)

I bought my Reliant when I was just 16 and surprisingly I had a girlfriend at the time who was quite happy to ride in it - at least I knew she wasn't after me for my car.

I bought my GSX750 with my girlfiend's savings but I'd paid her back (different girlfriend than the Reliant one by the way). Thought she was a 'good sort' so we got married in 1981 and still happily together.

SX200 - when I had my Triumph Cub I considered myself to be a biker, a college mate had one of those scooter things and to my disgust it was faster than my motorbike.
