So you've passed your driving test at last then, and driven what cars so far to date ??

Oh sorry, didn't realise it was a 'which cars of these do you currently own / drive and enjoy the most'. I'll keep quiet then as I own none of the aforementioned motors. I'll sit back and watch everyone who has carry on this thread. Have fun!

Can't beat German engineering to my mind.

I've owned quite a few of most and they generally stand the test of time.

Top ten most reliable car manufacturers of 2010 (based on cars aged 0-7 years old):

1. Daihatsu
Reliability score: 87%

2. Honda
Reliability score: 85%

3. Toyota
Reliability score: 85%

4. Mazda
Reliability score: 84%

5. Lexus
Reliability score: 83%

6. Suzuki
Reliability score: 82%

7. Subaru
Reliability score: 82%

8. Hyundai
Reliability score: 82%

9. Mitsubishi
Reliability score: 81%

10. Kia
Reliability score: 81%

The old adage that the Germans are the best built and most reliable is completely untrue. It's not the 80s any more. Not all asian cars are made of cheap iron and therefore 'rust buckets'; the world (and car manufacturing) has moved on. If you prefer German cars then it's because of nothing other than personal aesthetics because everyone has been handing their ass to them for the last 15-20 years for performance and reliability (and price too).

The table is from Which.co.uk by the way (I didn't make it up) and can be seen here
