I have a friend with a 240Z of 1971.
He's changed the discs for the solid but grooved / pierced of the brand 'Stop-Tech' and the pads (red but unknown brand) are new also as is the (7/8) master cylinder (7/8).
In spite of that, the braking remains soft - it brakes (and the MOT was passed) but it is not biting and impossible to block the wheels. Also, she pulls left under braking.
Do you have any ideas please?
Apparently it wasn't braking very well when 'stock' !
