Rob, it wasn't a Battle of Britain i don't think mate.
I think it was a send off for me ,as we were leaving at the same time!
Or maybe a sign that all zeds and owners could safely return to their positions on the stand now that the dodgy crowd from Bradford had gone home lol !!

Really enjoyed it on Saturday, especially the pre war Grand Prix cars, and also chatting to people I had not met before. A very impressive selection of Z's. Would post some pictures if I knew how to do it!

Big round of applause for Jonathan for having the idea in the first place and then and getting the Weekend together at such a superb venue. A great choice of event with such a lot of mouth-watering machinery - it was hard to know where to look first, and not enough time to take it all in.....

A superb selection of 'Z's on show - a credit to their Owners, and it must have raised the image of the 'Z's in general.

Top notch. JK !

Great weekend good display of Z's and other marques with good racing such a crying shame that it had to end in such tragic circumstances

Following an accident in the race for historic touring cars, the driver of car number 67 (a 1965 Mini Cooper S), Christian Devereux succumbed to the injuries sustained at the track. Motor racing is much safer these days but there is always the potential for accidents to happen with devastating consequences

Jonathan I think you have got the job for next year! A great idea and a great host (not forgetting your wife Sarah and family). Well done.

Perhaps we should open it up to our International friends. When at Le Mans and Spa they have said they would like an invite to a UK event.

The weekend exceeded my high expectations and that was even with some high profile absentees.

Yes a very sad outcome on track, we know it can happen but hope it never does.

Many thanks again to Jonathan and all the others who set it up .

Thanks for all the compliments guys, but I couldn't have done it without your support and attendance.

I'm just so glad we managed to get all those cars there, 27 cars Saturday and 21 I think it was yesterday.

I think the highlight for me was when Christian, (Mr EX Junior) got to take his Samuri out for a few laps round the circuit and then get an award from the Classic Car Weekly team, I've never seen a guy look quite as happy, nice one Chris.

I'll try and do a proper review later for the newsletter (when I've recovered a bit) and get some of my photos on here too, but for now just a great big thanks again to everyone who came and definately up for it again next year.

Cheers,

JK

Top class event, Well done Jonathan and family. We had some really beautiful cars on display, a credit to all who brought them, and I think, except for the TVR's, the most cars on any stand. It was good to see so many faces at an event and to meet the Classic Z people too.

My particular thanks to all the 'new' people who helped set up and dismantle the marquee. Your help was much appreciated and made a pleasant change for the 'regular oldies' who usually do it all.

Looks like it was a fab day and great turnout. Some amazing s30's ! The more I see cars with metal flared arches, the more I realise that Nissan designers got it right from the word go!
