Rally prep'ed 240

:thumbs:Great buy. Hope you enjoy driving it

Preet, if only your lovely 510 hadn't needed more facilities than I've got.

Thanks guys for your comments, it is a lovely looking car that excites me which my standard car doesn't. However the standard car is so special and every time I look at another 240 I realise it is probably unique. Not selling any Z at the moment.

No plans for next year yet - the historic Monte is the most attractive (to watch) atm.

You have a nice growing collection of zeds there Rob, I think your next one better be a rusty sh*tbox to even things out a bit!

Hey, does that 510 have a 720 badge on the grill?

My first 240Z was pretty poor when I chipped the 1/2 inch of underseal off. Most repairs had been bolted on!! I spent 4 1/2 years on that so never again. Spent 12 years on a Ford Anglia too. Plus all my early motorbikes and cars (60s and 70s) were in poor condition so I had to do major work on them. Happy days but I haven't got the motivation now.

My eldest lad (Lee) came over today with my Grandson :D

Needless to say he wanted a run in the new 240Z, this is his email tonight:

I LOVED your car by the way!!! I would guess it's about 95% as fast as the old beast, but not really sure until I've driven it...... It's much more practical though, not as raw because it doesn't need to rev and not as frantic in 1st/2nd gears from what I could tell. But who knows, when it's properly sorted and without the weight of a passenger and spare wheel it might be quicker. Plus it's a car you can be really proud of and it sounds unreal from behind! It would be so much more comfortable to drive down to Spa in too.

So that's a  then!
