This months Practical Classics has a small article about DVLA figures.

A few cars get a mention but one range gets a special mention the Datsun Z!

They say that despite these being a best seller they are a rare sight these days! They quote 500+ Z of which 200+ are on SORN. I'm assuming here that they don't include the 300.

They say the larger engined ZX is VERY rare. I think the figures were 36 on the road, 35 SORN'd

Sorry to say mine is sorn, there's nothing wrong with it apart from I can't afford to run it at the moment.

I'm guilty as mine is not on either list, it was taken off the road pre SORN. Still thats one than the stats say, and will be back on the road again soon...........ish.

I'm guilty on both accounts. 1 on SORN the other used daily.

I think they have got figures wrong as total of 280 ZX =62 excluding SORN
Whereas 260= 48
