Hello David and thanks for taking the time to reply to me on Christmas Day – hoping you had a good one.
I was 59 earlier this month and owned 240Zs for the past 35years.
The one you have listed is the first I’ve ever seen with wipers set up opposite to the drivers’ side whether the car be LH or RH drive.
Are you stating that the car came from the factory RHD ?
The simplest way to confirm this would be to quote the chassis code (not the specific number but the generic code ie HS30/HLS30) which is found stamped on the bulkhead inside the engine compartment in front of the drivers’ side.
I also note that you have a lovely 260Z for sale…..hard to choose between them - will you be getting more Datsun Zs ?

You are probably too young to know but this was not uncommon back in this day.
Switching for different continents was expensive so some items were left.
Example .. Mark 1 Golf’s brakes were always poor because they had lhd systems for RHD cars.
