My new arrival

This is about an imported Z - great car too.

There has been a private 'discussion' that has been made public now running (present or past ?) in parallel which has nothing to do with any of us except perhaps a curiousity to know 'the loft story' but I'm more intrigued by the 1969 build.

Carry on posting - as Burnsies' nose said...if you don't like the content, don't post but by all means read for free and perhaps learn something.

Have tried to delete all posts that have nothing at all about the thread topic
and spent a hell of a lot of time doing it
please keep on topic

Am i wasting my time here
extract from the rules thats if anyone bothers reading them

the basic rules are as follows:

1. Keep your replies on topic.
The technical threads should be a safe harbour for sharing and archiving quality information. Continued off topic replies will be removed or censored by the administration. Do not continue to banter on about irrelevant things once the original discussion is over. Random posts at the end of threads will be deleted.
2. The following will not be tolerated.
I) inflammatory responses
ii) use of inappropriate language
iii) harassment of other members
iv) name calling
v) picking fights
vi) inciting arguments
vii) posts / links of a sexist, sexual, lewd, explicit or racist nature
3. Threads that turn into arguments / flame wars will not be tolerated.
4. General spamming is not allowed.
5. Potentially libellous threads will not be tolerated.
6. Harassment of another user through the pm system will not be tolerated.
7. Advertising and sale of illegal bootleg material (such as copyright video, music and computer software) is not allowed.
8. Use of the private messaging (pm) system by unsubscribed traders is not allowed.

I understand that a couple of posts have been made off topic whilst the thread was being cleaned up and being brought back on topic
and have now deleted those posts as well

Please stay on topic

This whole thread is becoming boring and going off on ridiculous tangents, all I'd like to say is - Red Barron nice new Z, what happened to the 240ZG, does it still exist, did it ever exist? I would be very interested to hear about it.

It's about time there was another serious clean-up on this thread or a lock as it as so deviated from the original topic (red baron's new 240Z) or even the subsidiary issue of the ZG that its long past entertaining/adding value to site discourse, and now just makes this forum look bad. I'm not expecting a utopian forum where everyone group hugs on a constant basis but FFS.

Also, on the original topic, Phil (red baron) is unlikely to comment in the near term, as I've just heard he has been admitted to hospital after having a seizure. So, my best wishes to him and his family (I hope they don't mind me mentioning this here) and hope he's back in his new Z soon. Puts all the above in perspective...

Definitely does, if you speak to him/them, please let him know we're thinking of him. :(

Certainly does, and I sincerely wish him a speedy and full recovery.

Well said Richie, kind of echoes what i said last week in post no;9. Even though it was edited the original section is still there in other peoples quotes. ROLF!
Best wishes to Phil (red baron),hope that you're home soon.

A small update - Phil's son has let me know that he is in fact already home from hospital (the admission was obviously in the last few days) but is very weak and on medication. Fingers crossed the medication does its thing asap and Phil gets his strength back.
