Le Mans Classic 2010

Hard stoney ground, howling wind, pi$$ing down with rain, a que to shower, a que to pee or dump has lead me to decide a hotel would be a better bet and a damn site more comfortable.

Even more confortable watching it at home on Motors TV but then you'd get even less of the atmosphere.....

If you felt the hard, stoney ground, it means that you didn't pay attn. to my advice re camping at Le Mans eg bringing 6" nails and a club hammer and a good mattress.....it rains less here so the ground is harder.

Don't tell me that a 2+2 couldn't carry all that was needed - next time bring a Gaskin patented inflatable roof-rack (or was it two dollies taped together.....:D) !

Shame that we won't see you at the camping though - without a camping ticket, I don't think the gate would let you in to our BBQs !

Frogs eatin' yer food ? Cheeky runt - I brought the BBQs, the wine, the two young'uns in the brown Z brought the best St Emillon.....but go ahead, come to France and eat McDonalds or the circuit equivalent - we'll be topping last time with the food - rest assured !

I thought the frogs were quite friendly myself last year, its worth the stony ground etc just for the crack with everybody and its also a good chance to take the p*ss out of Sean with his "Primrose Yellow Z".

That streak of piss oupulled you from the Esses into Tertre Rouge I believe........and you're not invited next time if your son won't try anything without Tescos' written on it !:D

Oh, I forgot to add that non-classic cars (bringing Z fans in them) are welcome but I can't get non-Zs onto the stand so either you walk from the capsite (quite a way) or everybody doubles up and each Z carries 4 or 5....obviously not 4 or 5 Statii or Grollsies - just one of them fills a Z boot !

!

Yes Shaun you did out drag him, but I suspect it was because you had a shorter skirt on and red lip stick on:p......

I seem to remember having some yukky Porsche stuck on my rear bumper...like a peice of unwelcome used chewing gum.......then I ran into a green traffic jam.

I'm stunned that you all want to come again - you lot really made the weekend for me ! I wonder if Dirk Swift'll come and Jason - we must have him - I almost swallowed my tongue laughing with him !

Proof of how pigs eat....and how they hump each other (note tow-hook mascot) ! And a prize for who can tell which way up is Dirk Swift !

How can you not want to repeat that.........

Hi Sean, Kieron here, my dad says tesco's food is banned so i've said we'll have to go to Le'Sainsbury's instead.

Had a look at the pics whichever way you turn it, his head looks the same right-way up or up-side down.

My dad said you only outdragged us because he was concerned for my safety.

Seriously though it will be good to see you again. Kieron

Superb. Some guy is tinkering under his Z and Status decides it'll be a good time to get yer head down for a little sleepy. Awesome.

Sean,

I'm smack bang in the middle of moving house, job, country, etc. so it's hard to make a firm commitment to anything. Some of the following info would help me out:

Approx. costs (broken down into tickets, camping, etc.)
Dates

My brother-in-law and I made a drunken promise to do this next time round, so the willingness is there, but whether the money and time are there is another thing.

Mike

That's funny - he told us after Christmas that he'd over-loaded with ballast.......

Dirk is Mr Potatoe Head - mans' best friend - the greasy chip !

And you thought all those were funny :

There is nothing to pay until at least January 2010 so start saving yer pennies and put the dog up for sale on Ebay, sell raffle tickets to Jehovahs' Witnesses and get yer cars running.

For the costs, I'll have to look up my records and I can't be arsed tonight - I've been up since 04:00 and funnily enough I've been to Le Mans AND I'm going up there tomorrow to Arnage to work !

And you Kieron are not going to insult and disappoint the French hosts by refusing to even TRY what millions here eat - otherwise it's Sainsburys' cornflakes three times a day !

Cornflakes 3 times a day is a lot better than some baked amphibian left to scuttle around in a wheelchair for the rest of its life.

My dad says Dirk is all loved up now so who knows what he'll be doing in 2010...

Nobody's seen Mrs Swift, for all we know she's "some baked amphibian left to scuttle around in a wheelchair for the rest of its life" and sh'd still be quicker than him in a Z !

You need to learn to LIVE which means tasting life - any alternative behaviour and we'll dress you up, tie you up to a tree and put a sign inviting offers for you from some of the rather drunk Amercian car lovers.......

I've had worse! 'Tis true though. You should try stuff if only to say "I've tried it". If you don't like it then, it's fair enough but give it a go. If you've had a kebab after a night out in this country then your stomach is ready to take on just about anything.

I am Sean, last year's trip was fantastic.

Not sure who will be with me or what car I will be in yet (depends on numbers of passengers).
