Steep price for a car that just has alot of bolt on aftermarket parts no?

For that kind of money I'd personally be speaking to other specialists to build me a car...

'Bolt-on aftermarket parts' is a bit rich I think. You make it sound like they went to Halfords! Any surely most modified cars have just 'bolt-on aftermarket parts' fitted, no?

What's the great difference between this car and an MZR car - the bespoke parts that the MZR one has? I'm not denying this is a lot of money but compared to an MZR it's cheap (and in my eyes - as good) ...

 Coming from me I can see why you’d say that! Difference is being I’m Jo Bloggs rather than one of the big ‘specialists’. Anyone with enough funds could bolt together that spec at home.

Yes they’re quality parts but I’d expect more thought from a high end specialist at that price. There’s nothing special or unique about it, if you look at the likes of MZR, DCW Classic, Zcar Garage etc they all make their own unique packages and bespoke parts which make those cars special and unique. Admittedly it’s a nice build but I don’t think there’s anything unique about it, particularly at that price tag…

Personally I’m a big fan of DCW’s builds and think they’re prices are far more fair….

I do like the look of the JDM legends car , as for the price well i think its just relevant to today's market for our cars , you can ask what you want but what you will get is a different matter , Its a car that was built for TV so someone will buy it ,

To be honest I was more interested in the stroker Rebello engine that makes 319bhp @ the flywheel with 45's and on 91 octane ?

I'm also bored since along time with std front and ZG arches but GrpIV is another fish altogether.

319hp you mean which is on a bench, no load and the torque figure is more important.

Oh well, if YOU believe that this Rebello SOHC engine on triple 45 carbs makes (and the quote is 218HP) using 95RON with a basic 10.5:1 compression ratio and using a basic MSA 6-2 header.....then I'm happy to leave it at that ; like the law of laïcité in France, you have the right to believe what you want without 'the management' wading in !

MOTOR

- 3.2L Rebello Racing stroker motor, LD28 diesel crank, 89mm pistons, 10.5:1 C.R.
318 HP / 295 TQ on 91 octane
- MSA ceramic coated 6-2 heade
r

My experience of a similar Rebello L32 on Mikuni 44s is around flywheel 250 flywheel ch in the car.

Except I didn't say I "believed" anything, did I? Classic 1+1 = 7 nonsense from you.

I was answering your "no load" comment. If there was 'no load' it would be impossible to derive any power figure, wouldn't it?

The *real* figure is another matter.

Needs more arch. :)

That’s not playing fair Alan, you’re period correct, super rare, properly executed, not run of the mill stuff like the jdm car.

I don’t understand the budget type callipers on the jdm car, with genuine watanabes I’d have hoped for something a little ‘more’ through the spokes.

They’ve also fitted the older style fujitsubo.

Details.

It was a client car originally, not a bottomless pit build - so maybe stuff like the Silvermine brakes and other features were what the client supplied or requested? The build predates the revised Fujitsubo btw.

Clearly my FairladyZ is lacking “details” as it has the same brakes and exhaust as that car, but doesn’t even have real Watanabes... :p
