Little extra nugget of info for reference - I have been informed that the 8.5s are best suited to 245 tyre as 225 can look stretched on it.

I suppose it depends on what you want to use it for. The person who provided the info is giving the tyres serious duty.

You need to consider the "look" you want. By that I mean are you ok with a slight/mild stretch or do you prefer the traditional look.

In 15" diameter, the widest profile readily available in UK for a road tyres is 225/50 ( Toyo 888 and other track day tyres excluded as they aren't you normal road tyres). Many will consider 225's on 10J as OK, whereas others will feel that it's a stretch too far and want 8.5-9J max,:smash:

16" tyre options are better I believe as they go up to 245 if not wider.

I like the look of the Atara wheels, but struggling to find reviews on them.

Atara Pissang are sold in two sizes only 15x9 ET-13 or 15x10.5 ET-32.

PM me if you want any further info or wish to discuss specifics.

I've driven them on the welsh roads here all last year and had no problems, lots of grip and not to bad when there's a 'little' damp on the road, you could always use the T1 R's ?

Quick update
Just ordered up the final bits of metal I require (the rear inner arches) and as soon as they are done the car will be prepped to be painted. Sadly, still undecided on colour (gunmetal grey or blue)..........

Have bought:-
Wheels and tyres
Bumpers (bought ages ago)
Arch extenders (bought ages ago)
Fender mirrors (bought ages ago)
Side clear indicators (bought ages ago)

Have ordered:-
Repair panels
Front valiance
Front clear indicators
Rear strut brace

Still to order:-
Suspension
Master bushing kit

Going to leave the interior as it was for now (expect for refurbing steering wheel, gearknob and replacing a small broken panel) to see what state it is actually in, been so long since I actually had the car! But will eventually add/replace seats, seatbelts, harnesses and fix the dash.

When you say 'blue' which blue? Seen a nice blue online anywhere? When I said to the paint guy I wanted my fastback to be dark red, (after months of umming and arring,) he then gave me a thick swatch book - with page after page of dark reds ...

It's never an 'easy' choice ...
