Ignition comes comes out when turned on

Hi all,

1972 240z, So I can remove the ignition key after I've started the engine... what do I need to look at to fix this ? just replace the whole key/ignition/steering lock ? are these available new ?

Mine does the same. Try getting a new key cut first.

Ahh right, I have a few keys and they all do the same, though not new. Does anyone cut to lock number for these (in the UK ?) and if so do you know where the lock numbers are ? thx @Farmer42

This happened on one of mine and the key seems a loose fit. When I read up , you can try a new key - but it’s probably the lock / tumblers in it .
