The first table of the season has been updated, you will always find it on the first post of this thread.

Well done to Aceman who tops the table by a six point margin , but, it's early days, so don't expect to be there for much longer; I'm determined to win it this year ;)

Also it's great to have fifteen of us playing this season, that's the most I can remember for some time. Lets hope we can keep all fifteen right to the end.

The next race comes round fast, so we need your predictions in by midnight this coming Wednesday, so don't be late! :p

Could we have a 'team roll over' where by anyone who forgets to put a team in due to babies/work/cars/old age etc just has their previous prediction carried across? It'd keep more people going till the end

I'm happy to put something in place if everyone agrees, but it would have to be before the next race.

There would need to be a limit though as the last thing we want is no one posting throughout the season. How about ,you can't roll over two times in a row? Or, you only get three 'roll overs' per season?

Anyone else?

IMHO if anyone who forgets to post up his prediction even though the date is highlighted on the first page when dale updates the points table gets full points for forgetting their prediction makes a complete mockery of the following rule

5. The deadline for your prediction is midnight on the wednesday before. Any late predictions but within 24 hours will incur a 5 point penalty. Any prediction made later than that will score a maximum of 10 point less than the lowest 'scoring' prediction made that week. No prediction = no score.

Maybe I am being cynical but if I knew I would get full points if I forgot to post in time why o why would I bother to post up on say the Thursday or Friday after the deadline knowing I was going to to receive a points drop where as if I don't post at all I get full points for my roll over prediction

If any points are awarded for forgotten prediction they have to be below the "Any prediction made later than that will score a maximum of 10 point less than the lowest 'scoring' prediction made that week" at the very least.

My point was that sometimes life gets in the way of remembering to look/post on the forum and it might be a good way of keeping the numbers up over the course of the season.

Super-fast update Dale

It's good to see a mix-up i.e. Red-Bull and MacLaren struggling for pace.

Re - 'If someone forgets etc.' how about getting a couple of points less than the lowest score for that race?

I'm with Burnsie!
Rules are rules and were developed over a number of seasons. If anyone is worried about forgetting they can always post early & edit before the deadline! To roll over any prediction will take away the enthusiasm needed to judge the result. If anyone can't be bothered to look & post up in 2 weeks between races then they are not participating as true enthusiasts. :driving:

:smash:Rant over!! :smash:

I think 'no participating as true enthusiasts or being bothered' and having a priority list in life where logging onto forums after studying practice times for F1 etc etc are not the same thing.

I can't accept that ANYONE can not have 5minutes in a fortnight to look at form & make prediction. It's called being organised!

If you can't..... You're not!!:p

Hence if you slip up and miss the deadline the rules are there to penalise you!

Well it takes 5 minutes if you do it half arsed, I prefer to try and do things properly;)

Its being organised which means I have a priority list and sometimes things can slip off the bottom of it.
