Oki doki, I didn't see a chassis number on it! But if there is then it will deffinately be staying with me!

So on the other hand, how much would I get for this engine providing it was a runner?

The engine bay chassis plates / 'plaques' for UK market HS30 models should have a space for the chassis number and engine number to be stamped into them.

If it hasn't got both, then I'd be interested to see it.

Only market I can think of that didn't have the engine number stamped on the engine bay plate was the Japanese market, and they had plates in Japanese language ( so easily identifiable ).

Very little, if anything at all I'm afraid. Not many people want them over here. There are more P30 type L24 engines knocking around than cars in need of them.....

You might find it simpler to take off the carburettors and sell them on their own.
 
Albrecht is right Dan, the cars rot and the engines don't.
A lot of people ditch the 2.4 for a 2.8 also which makes a bigger pile of engines no one needs.
Shame really.
 
I had a look again yesterday - was only quick! But still I did not see any chassis number. I'll get a picture for everyone tonight!

I could do with some headlight bowls if anyone knows where I could get some? I've heard someone may offer plastic ones?

Also, any front panels anyone has I would buy off them if in good condition? IE front valance and the two sides that attached to it, the headlight surrounds and the wings.

Throttleton, I will be buying all the panels to repair the shell first before I buy all the FG parts and carbon bits so don't think that im not interested :)

I've been offered a 78 260 2 seater that has been sitting around for a while, I haven't looked at it yet but when I do I'll let you know if it has any panels that may help with your car.

Apparently he has a set of rust free 240 doors and tail gate but I'm after them myself, But they could all be scrap lol, I'll have to wait and see.

Im not after doors or tailgate, they will all be FG.

Just sills, rear quaters, rear inner arches, rear lower valance, the taillight panel above the lights that the tailgate rests on and floor pans.

Ah Mr. F - Mike Feeney at MJP Autos. I have spoken to Mike, he said he would contact me back about a rear taillight panel last week - no phone call received back. Also only have one sill in stock and no idea when he would get an order for another in. I will deffinately be ordering some parts off him in the near future though.

No worries Dan, get the car structure sorted then sort your panels.
A rotten car that 'looks nice' is no good to anyone.

Don't worry I understand urban dictionary slang or whatever you want to call it, just when peoples names on the forum are...erm..well...unknown to me its a little difficult! I'll get there..

Does anyone know where I can get a LH Sill as everyone I have spoken to only has RH ones in stock...fortunately the RH one is the worst and I may be able to patch the LH one up but I'd prefer new!

If you look on ebay there are two sills ( left and right ). :thumbs:
 
Well I have ordered one sill from Mike (the one he has in stock), when I get it I'll keep an eye on the ebay one but I may have found a sill from another car which I can modify to fit.
