Chrome plating over plastic?

I used a chrome enamel spray from Halfords to redo the reflectors in my front indicators on my 280ZX.
Results weren't bad really. I'm sure there are better solutions but this worked for me.

Huw I've done the same on side reflectors for fun and experimentation not expecting much but the results were superb and the reflectors behind the bulb now reflect well!!

Not sure the finish is good enough for body parts through!

I tried that. Was not overly impressed it was just a glossy silver grey and not very reflective. The cheap stuff I got from Halfords was better to be honest.

Just thought i'd revive this post as i have recently had the chrome strips alond the door cards refurbished by a company www.chromespray.co.uk
The finish was very good and looks just like the rest of the chrome in the car. The only down side was there communication skills but I was happy with the result and would recommend them on that

It would be if he was getting the light clusters done but he's not, its the chrome plastic strip on the Door Cards.
