On the money at £500

AUDI COUPE 1991 2.0E For Sale (1991) on Car And Classic UK

C'mon - you love a challenge !

Has to get there and back so reliable or easy/cheap to fix, have some oomph for the track days to gain extra points................in fact...........why not actually do it ?

Everyone entering puts in £100, buys their car and I organise a run through France with a track day.

He who returns with the most points - wins the kitty !

Back to the game : you buy your ringer at £500, insure it cheap, 'tune' it up and for less than a grand plus ferry trip (return fare :D) you have a Euro run car a LOT more fun than those rich tossers with their Supercars getting flashed and chased by Froggie Police !

£500 will be quite a bit less than the taxi fare Mandy has just had today from Chambery to Paris!!

Have you heard of the Scumball Rally or the Scumrun? I think they stole your idea! :D

Scumrun 2010

Rob........you're keen - I'll give you that !

Scumrun - wasn't aware of it but don't like the idea of spending what you like after buying your banger for £500 !

We'll call it dumb-run or currey dash - the first one to reach the specified point with an edible currey takeaway and eat it in refinement outdoors wins the prize ! Extra points available for a variety of challenges en route !

Sorry, completely off topic......

Blimey, a 'lot' less......... it cost €1,500!!!!:eek: The driver must have charged for his return journey too.

The Fiat Coupe 20V Turbo was one of the fastest accelerating mainstream cars you could buy.Autocar 0-100 in 14.5 secs- which seems alarmingly quick-surely 15.5 at best?

... and the money disappears out of your wallet every time something goes wrong with it. Shame ... nice cars. My uncle has one and they certainly shift. Scarily so in fact.

I do hear (rather surprisingly) of owners vouching for its reliability- although that may possibly be in comparison to the low standards of Italian cars .
What is does have over the SX(bigfanof) is exclusivity and a lack of Max Power image.
