The maximum is 12 cars per stand so depending on the response we can do a combined stand with other forums or a dedicated Z club stand.

Invitation to Castle Combe’s

Summer Performance Car Action Day

Sponsored by Forge Motorsport

Dear Club Secretary

Castle Combe Circuit is hosting one of our longest-standing and favourite events of the year - the Summer Performance Car Action Day - sponsored by Forge Motorsport - on Saturday 10th September, - and we’d like to invite your club to attend. You can even attend FREE OF CHARGE (see the attached booking form for details).

The event is for all marques of performance and modified cars, where clubs can meet up, and meet each other, in a relaxed atmosphere in rural North Wiltshire just south of the M4 between junctions 17 and 18 (Chippenham and Bath). There’s loads of display space, both on grass and hard standing, with full tarmac “roadways” leading you in, out and through the whole event.

The basic cost is £ NOTHING, and this gets you a FREE club stand for up to 12 cars and 12 FREE entry tickets to get your 12 cars and 12 drivers into the club display area. Of course, if you need extra tickets for passengers or family (under 16s free), these can either be bought in advance at the reduced club price or purchased at £10 each on the gate when you arrive.

The Forge Motorsport Performance car Action Day is one of the most popular track-based Events in the country, and any of your club members can have a drive out on the circuit as fast (or as slow!) as they want without fear of speed cameras, hidden police cars or stray pedestrians! Obviously track time is limited, so anyone wanting to experience the thrill of driving our wonderful, scenic – but definitely fast - 1.85 miles circuit with the famous “Quarry Corner” will have to book quickly. We only allow a maximum of 28 cars on the track at a time, so they’ll have plenty of “tarmac” to themselves! If you want a complete 15 minute session just for your members (so you can make sure you just go out with your friends in your club), have a look at Package 3 on the booking form.

Forge Motorsport will have a massive display of performance-enhancing products for you to see, touch and purchase, as well as knowledgeable staff available to offer advice and guidance to you if you want to upgrade the spec of your car.

Attendance by our tuning and performance friends at Eibach Springs, Scorpion Exhausts, Pipercross Filters, Tarox Brakes and Litchfield Imports guarantees expert knowledge across all the main performance spectrums – all you have to do is ask them!

All these, and many more tuning and styling companies, will be situated in the centre of the main paddock, so make a point of going to browse their products and find out what you can do to enhance the performance of your car.

One of the specialities for 2011 is the “Subaru Saturday”, where we will have a special display area just for this performance brand, as well as special track time sessions to enable their owners to demonstrate just how efficiently these cars can get round a circuit. Something not to be missed!

Whilst we’re on the subject of track demos, we’ve also invited the Drift Team back who will be bringing along their specialist cars and drivers to demonstrate how to get round a corner at high speed AND at right-angles to the tarmac – if you’ve never seen drifting before, you’re in for a lot of fun!

And if you fancy a couple of mind-blowing laps in a 500bhp Evo, then pop along to the Launch Motorsport stand where, for a donation of £20, you can experience the circuit from the front seat as you ride with a skilled track driver in the knowledge you are supporting a great cause. All the money raised will go to the “Run for the Rising Sun” Japanese Tsunami appeal.

So come along to Castle Combe Circuit for the Forge Motorsport Summer Performance Action Day on Saturday 10th September for a great family day out – ‘000s of performance cars for you to see, all day track action, demonstration laps, loads of exhibitors to talk to and reasonably priced catering – all this and it could be FREE for your club to attend.

For all club space and track-time enquiries, please contact Maria Fisher on 01249 782417 (maria@castlecombecircuit.co.uk) or please open and print the attached booking form and send it back to me at the address below (or scan it once completed and send it back via email to maria@castlecombecircuit.co.uk). Be quick as we are already filling up our club display space.

If you are looking for Performance Car Show to put a smile on your face then look no further. It really is just a fabulous event to round off the 2011 season.

I look forward to seeing you on 10th Sept.

Regards

Maria

Yes I'm interested, especially if we have a Z Track Session.

I'm not 100% certain at the moment but will confirm either way when necessary.

Have you guys booked your track time?

No I was waiting to see if we had a Z session.

I'll sort it tomorrow and trying to get the same sessions as you Mark.

John are you coming along, I enjoyed our chase last time - but not the gearbox rebuild afterwards.

Is there any update on this.

Do we def have a stand?
Who is getting/despatching tickets - will we get them before the day
Who is doing track time besides Mark?

I'm undecided because of the lack of response - it is a long way and I need new brakes before then!

Spoke to Maria at Castle Combe Circuit this morning. I am sorting out a forum club stand. As far as track time goes the cost is £30 in advance for 15 minutes or £35 on the day. If you wish to book track time please call Maria on 01249 782417.

Well the confirmation came through on Saturday. We have a stand. We have to be set up by 8.30 am at Castle Combe. Bearing in mind there may be a big queue to get in, suggest we meet in the rear car park of the Cross Hands Hotel, at the crossroads of the A46 and the B4040 ( 2 miles from J18 of the M4 Motorway ) at 7.00 am sharp leaving at 7.15 am. Stand Tickets will be given out on the morning. Members who have put their name down above will have priority. If you do not turn up by 7.15 am any remaining passes will be given to whoever else has turned up on the morning. Easiest and fairest way of doing it.
