I'd say it cost at least that do it so they are hoping they can make most of their money back, might aswell try and see what you can get.

Very impressive. Not a huge fan of the exterior styling, i.e. the front air dam and the filler design, but some serious investment and attention to detail in that build. The BIN is £71k. As Ian said, the spend could have reached something approaching that kind of level, especially as it was built by a specialist business.

If you could find a unicorn with a genetic mutation but in perfect condition, would it be less valuable or equally interesting in a different way?

This is worth the money to someone out there with a passion for modified classics, a large garage and commensurate bank balance.

I personally prefer original cars but this is a very special car/condition given the effort and the meticulous attention to detail evident in the photos. It'd be interesting to see what it goes for.

If you owned this car though, it'll be a complete pain to keep it that shiny ;)

Would be interesting to see how much it goes for as it looks like a top example of an engine swapped 240. £71k is a ridiculous price

On the subject of crazy amounts of money, the genuine Hakosuka GTR up for auction at the end of next week has an estimate of $125,000-$175,000..

Lovely car, another top quality hybrid.

I'm amazed how much technical knowledge, energy and drive folks have to build these cars.

Value? IMO the same as a Rebello 'stroker' on Throttle bodies with S14 box.

It's a real shame that the person who built it now see's it time to sell it - why I wonder?

As with everything its worth what someone will pay. Personally I would have nightmare's worrying about looking after the beast and so wouldn't (even if I had the money) be interested. Looks like most other lightly body-modified Z's out there when its parked! Maybe not an investment but perhaps a dream come true for a like-minded.

Would it though rob? Its a limited market for that sort of thing I'd guess. Most wanting to build their own.

Could somebody list the major components and what it would 'break' for?

When I sold my old car I sold it for what I could 'break' it for and it probably went too cheaply in hindsight.
