But is it because of softness on crooks that this type of burglary happens ? I'm not so sure...
The urge and peer pressure to have 'it' now and why wait ? And so, if you can't afford 'it', and can't get/want credit, you steal for 'it' !

'It' being whatever you want and /or are addicted too !

This wasn't a terribly well organised break-in, two watches were stolen which might fetch £30 and three tenners were left under a pot (which were for the home help) : I think this was for someones' next fix !
 
Blame the credit card companys and banks for making it too easy to get credit.

Blame your generation for encouraging materialism ;)

At a time when one is not allowed to say certain words for fear of upsetting people (I heard mention of 'Christmas' for eg), it is paradoxial that ads' like this ARE allowed !
A sort of mixed up 'freedom of thought, of the press and self-censorship !

How do you all know what to say and think over there - must be confusing, frustrating and...expensive, if you are then sued :) !
 
That's the answer then - alcohol ! At least it brings in taxes to spend on the emergency services each night to cope with the drunkards and their escapades !
 
The people who commit these crimes have no place in society, they are evil and disturbed and will never be reformed - the only thing to do is to remove them from the gene pool.
