Bitchy

what a class thread, made interesting reading during coffee and biscuit time:rofl:

seriously though, I think it's a lot harder for people to get on, on a forum as things get taken out of context etc..

we need to chill more and have more Zclub meets/events:)

Well i vote to ban Sean, not because he's French, bald, pig ugly, drives a puke painted Z or is rather gobby, but just for the simple fact it's Sean.....

Speaking as newbie myself I have to agree that a lot of members seem to have their heads well and truly stuck in the past , History is important but I'd rather look forward myself :).

Rob

We are just trying to teach you newcomers a bit of history so you know how it all began,
A bit like going to school (I take it you had history lessons) Did you learn anything from them?

Maybe I am sensitive and I certainly like to promote discussion - but you're second line reaffirms my belief...

......What ? because I used the F word ? Naughty me.

I assume your feeling down from the lack of positive response regarding your DJ Register. Take a look at the facts, nobody was interested back in March 2006, and following that you only had a handfull of comments two months later. I wonder how many of those leads you actually followed up over the past 31 months ?
And now you try and revive it off the back of some book which someone has written about Samuri again with little credible interest.

Sorry Sean, you've got to learn to take the rough with the smooth. It's very noble what you are trying to do, and I understand you are trying to return something to Dave for building you such a fantastic car. If a DJ register isn't going to happen, I can only suggest you write a nice article for the club mag about the man himself and his cars and racing exploits.

But before you do, I also suggest you speak to Dave and check that he doesn't mind. Because when Steve and I spoke to him on two seperate occasions back in 2006 regarding your thread request in the mag, he didn't seem very keen on the idea.

Maybe that has changed now, so I'll leave it to you.

Peace and Love :)

zedhead260;118230 But before you do said:
The man is modest so if you approach him direct - you'll get the response you got - that's why I made the approach and felt surprised that no-one got back to me.

Dave is as much aware then as he is now. He said then that it would come to nothing (apathy) and is he still right ? Does apathy rule ?

I didn't do it because he did ME a fabulous car - please, please believe that but I conservatively estimate that at least a third of the UKs' current 240Zs have been through his hands and had upgades.

Now that is unlike any other UK Z specialist.

Huggs back !

Actually I enjoyed history at school, But in this case a lot of you seem to be obsessed by the past and anally argue over the most stupid of facts :confused:, But being a newbie I'll just keep reading away and try and learn my way around the forum trying not to tread on to many toe's as I go like a good little boy , Mind you I had my first Z long before quite a few of you lot anyway .

I pay my subscription on both here and 300zx.co.uk, i never used to post before because to be quite frank there wasn't a huge amount on here to talk about and it was a bit stale and musty like a tweed jacket.

Things have started to liven up a little bit recently but i've steered clear on any disagreements so far but i can't see anything that bad going on just people getting the wrong end of the stick same as any club.

Come on guys, peace and love :D

:D

Nick I thought you had the reputation of the biggest post whore in the Z Scene :p
Pah see how untrue hearsay is;)

... and it was a bit stale and musty like a tweed jacket.

I wear a Boleskine tweed jacket (with corduroy elbow patches & maroon shiny inner). Nowt wrong with tweed. Mine has a built in 'hoody' though. That's my look. Short fat Justin Timberlake.

With regards to arguements on here. I try to take pretty much everything with a pinch of salt. It takes an awful lot to offend or piss me off so I can let everything just gloss over me, however, there are peeps that seem to take things to heart a little too much. At the end of the day, it's just someone hiding behind a keyboard so what the hell? Can't worry what someone types on a forum. Just get in on the banter and horseplay and shove in your 2 pence-worth when you get the chance. It's all good for a laugh. And if that fails, flip out royally and burn down your enemy's house. Teach them to type in anger!

I just think Sean likes to win ALL the arguments.

I wonder why Hitler found it so easy to get to the edge of the channel? That would make a good history lesson.

I love history but arguing about details is pointless, like bickering about whether Columbus left Portugal in April or May of ........ who cares, he left....and discovered.....Haiti !

Joan of Arc wasn't burnt by the English (yes, I did not state British) but was ransomed to the French (yes, they paid for her) who then tried and burnt her - we've had a bad press for years !

Jerry got a sniff of bangers and mash pretty damned quickly because no-one, not the BEF or the French believed they would come through the Ardennes (they made the same mistake again in December '44), the Belgians wouldn't let the Allies onto their territory to block them at the canals and the BEF and 100,000 French soldiers (again, the French love stating that we left 'em on the beach) only managed to get away because Adolf was scared of a flank attack coming up from Le Havre/Abbeville and held his armour back !

Back to todays' arena, looks like Supermans' taste in clothes follows that in Zs.................

vpulsar, don't be afraid of treading on anyones' toes - people here stick their feet out on purpose - just get in there and type your heart out !

Peace and love is not conducive to a busy interesting forum

It is a well known fact that a few nice argumentative and tongue in cheek insults gets the place buzzing

So come on nick start whoring :rolleyes:or i will give you a slap next time I see you:p

I totally agree Steve their is nothing more boring that a forum where everybody is ass kissing all the time, But you always get a few gentle souls that can't take a joke or just take a reply the wrong way and get all stressed and upset, Or in some cases just run off for a cry on mummies shoulder :rolleyes:, So personally I alway try and tread a bit gently until I've got to know a few people and how their humour works or doesn't in some cases .
