BHP of my car...surprising to some?



Qunsy.... b4 you go on the Triump Register,consider looking at,test
driving A Datsun Roadster. I think it looks so cool! & better engineering to say the least. The only good thing about Triump is:
they make new replacement parts. DJZ 60.:rolleyes:

OK it was pulled off ebay yesterday for £3,400.

Gutted as I have the swag and wanted it.

..having said that I've never driven one you never know it may have not have been for me BUT it looked a beauty...BUT why would someone spend a year doing it up to that standard the let it go for this price?

Exactly, that's why I said 5-6k. Someone's got a bargain if that's your bag. I've driven a Spitfire and quite honestly they are a bag of s..te. Noisey, agicultural, and handling is pretty awful. I had the choice of an MG midget or a spitfire in my youth. No contest.

I have to agree with Nigel there

When I was 19/20, many of my friends had 1500 Spitfires, I had a 1973 MkIII 1275cc round wheel arch MG midget in BRG (still remember the reg COV 3**K)...the spitfires had no chance of keeping up:D .
Plus it didnt have the "bow legged" look that the shitfires (and the GT6's) are prone to.
 
plus if you're taller than 5'6'' and a cuddly size you'll never get in it (and if you do, you wont get out)!
 
No boot space to speak of either - dodgy wipers, dodgy heater....but we're all wrong and you're always right Si...........

Maybe Mr G. has a point - a well, sorted 280ZX'll is a great every day car too !

Twin 1 & 3/4 su's a fully gas flowed big valve head and a full janspeed system on, used to pull a sub 8 second 0-60.......some gutless/boring piece of rubbish.

Erm, yes I was. In comparrison, buy a Z, fairly fast in stadard trim, handles well, looks great and hits the spot first time, isn't that what makes them so addictive? I'd vote for a z rather having a fumble in the dark any day.;)

I worry about Rob n Skiddy, there becoming very anal of a sudden, perhaps it's a spitfire/Midget thing!:rolleyes:
 
You forget that they were (are) well equipped by comparison - they are the Jap bikes to the British ones and Harleys - always tinkering with them and mopping up oil drips !

Sometimes though, I prefer a fumble in the dark to voting Zs......

Well I tried to find a comparrison, I couldn't,well I could "sort of" but being able to keep the post up may have been a problem....;) my thoughts are sean, we should leave the Vibe boys to get on with it....:D
