Won another trophy at Japshow this weekend ,Big thanks to Mark for sending pass sorry I missed you again ,did ask around as to your whereabouts with no luck ,good to speak to some off the drag guys and good to speak with Mike who helped a lot when i was doing my restoration, thanks Mike :thumbs:

Had a great day, the Z cars looked great going down the strip :bow::bow:

Best Retro was awarded to Derrick Burgess and his beautifully restored Datsun 280ZX. The paintwork on this car was immaculate and beautifully deep, not surprising really as it was given a total of 11 coats of pain

Yes, well done Derrick. As has been said recently the 280ZX is gaining recognition as a classic these days.

It seems the older things get the more sought after they are - but it doesn't work with me. You seem to be doing ok though judging by your 'escort' at the show!

Derrick I hade a nose around your engine bay while you was making friends with a bottle of beer lol, I was quite impressed how it looks all so original knowing what work you have done, I was at a ford open evening the other week and they had some of there heritage cars on display (never restored) and it reminded me of those

Anyhows pics alone would be worth the crack ;)

The fact that yours would also be used i'm sure would even more impress the uninitiated :thumbs:
