280ZX 2 Seater "Targa" on ebay!

I don't think it is a home made job. I've seen one of these before but left hand drive.

On reflection the back edge of a targa panel in another picture I am looking at lines up with the front edge of B pillar and the one in the ebay photo lines up with the back edge of the B pillar

Take it all back. Looking at pictures of coupes with targas from the internet. The B pillar is behind the glass panel. So could be a home made attempt I guess.

the car is a mk1 280ZX ie pre facelift. If it was "new" when ist registered in the UK in 1981 then it wouldnt have targas fitted from the factory. IIRC no RHD factory built 2 seat targa cars were imported.by the UK distributor.
It has some facelift bumpers and rear lights on it. I "think" I supplied the lights
Z32 leather seats also.
Looks like it was originally tan/beige inside also which would be correct with the factory black paint

Hi,
That's what I thought too....The 2 seaters have shorter glass panels which don't fit the 2+2 model and they line up with the front of the B piller, not the rear, leaving a larger section of roof at the rear, before the hatch....

Wouldn't think that the roof is too strong though!

Bit like the "260Z Targa" recently featured on Ebay and discussed on here!!!

I dread to think what has been chopped out to "create" this "monster".
