as for the 280ZX it depends on clearance but i would need a whole car to see if it can be done.

for those who were wondering how to fit the strut braces,i will explain...
front strut bar first......
you will need a 14mm socket/spanner to remove the strut top bolts,

then fit the strut bar brackets but leave the nuts loose and make sure the bracket arms are towards the bulkhead,
then fit the strut bar by adjusting the ends in or out to fit the brackets keeping the bolts loose,
once you are happy with everything tighten down the brackets
tighten down the bolt through the bracket arms with a 14mm spanner/socket and a 8mm allen key
then finally tighen up the strut bar ends with a 17mm spanner

finally it will look like this..............

the spark plug leads can go under or over ,what ever you prefer
to keep them nice and shiny i use
SOLVOL AUTOSOL CHROME CLEANER METAL POLISH 100G TUBE on eBay (end time 18-Aug-10 20:21:39 BST)


repeat the same for the rear

Just wanted to point out that you should all check your local Halfords for offers, mine is doing 2 for 1 on any chemicals at the moment, that includes Autosol, just got my 2 last week!

Autosol belongs in the haynes motor museum.
powder coating is the way to go
Do it once and forget the polishing forever.

Moggy, in the pictures of yours and the DJR car, you both have a cap over the centre of the strut, where do I get 4 of them from to finish the job off properly??
