I bought an R34 Skyline in about 15 yeras ago was like brand new
I think so yes but that isn't always the case i.e. Mk2 Escorts are probably more sought after than Mk1s.
........... Mk2 Escorts are probably more sought after than Mk1s......
.........model for model (e.g. RS2000) the Mk 1 was way more expensive. And if you want anything "extra special" like a twin cam....eek! ....

Ok guys, thanks.
Seeing as the R34 was launched in 1999, it very likely was not far off being 'brand new'...
Sure. Interesting that in an island (s) overflowing with cars and a depreciating currency advertised prices remain stubbornly firm (Imo). Perhaps it's just economics, hard assets become more popular, car culture strong, economy strong.

I'm not saying the 260 is less desirable and not a better car in certain ways, just that the 240 will always be worth more.
And just to clear up the confusion as to what I mean by 240 and 260. The 240 is the uk car that came with a 240z badge on it and the 260 is the one that had a 260z badge on it.
does a UK 260Z rank above a USA imported 240Z in your view ?
Depends on the condition Sean. I'd sooner have a rust free LHD 240 than the usual condition UK 260z.

We call those 280Zs (240Z model code with 260Z rear lights).and then stick 260 rear light clusters in it
